The Real Food for Kids Culinary Challenge is an annual event that gives an opportunity to NOVA students to influence food served in schools. The goal of this challenge was for teams of 2-5, each from different schools, to craft and create a healthy and appetizing menu item, abiding to the USDA guidelines, a provided budget, and certain ingredients, to ultimately feature the winning meal in school cafeterias across the region next year. The lunch entries were judged by a panel of "students, school food professionals, chefs, and local luminaries", one of which was our Founder, Shreya Papneja.
